Early months of 2011

The holidays came to an end for the children the first week of April. The school was ready for use. We built a new stairs at the back for easier access as the new entrance was not finished.

These are some photos of the early months, the stairs, the school and the children on their first day at school. They began the day with mass and then processed up the new stairs to go to the new class rooms. There was a short address from the principal and then I blessed the new building.

School extension.

Once the children were on holidays it was safe for the men to work on the extension to the school.

The stairs was built and the rooms upstairs were built up.

Doors went in down stairs and the place was painted.

A new stairs was made from the church grounds to allow the people and children to enter more easily. This began in January and finished the last week of March just in time for school.

This photo was taken the Saturday after the school closed. The parents came in to prepare the ground for the workers.

P.J. in Ecuador 2011

Hi,

January 1st 2012. Into a new year.

Here are some of the highlights for me from 2011.

Sharing with you what happened for me on my mission parish in Guayaquil during 2011.

Photos speak a thousand words so there are a lot of photos. The first photo was taken the middle of January; the last day of the school year with Mass in front of the grotto.

The children went on their break from school for 3 months.
